This note covers how to configure the DS1000B series of oscilloscope to return the maximum data length. This can be useful for storing to a USB memory stick.

Can you set up any RIGOL scopes to stop triggering after a specific averaging number?
Not at this time. The average acquisition mode for the DS1000E/D, DS1000CA, DS1000B, DS4000, and DS6000 scopes are identical in function. They collect a boxcar average of the last acquisitions on a rolling basis.

When I plug in my instrument via USB, I get a Windows Page Fault error ( Blue Screen of Death / BSoD ).
There is a known issue with the IVI VISA Shared components version. See attached document for more details.

Why does my DS series trigger rate slow down with failed waveforms in Pass/Fail mode?
When a waveform fails the pass/fail mask test, the trigger hold off is intentionally increased to give the observer time to see the failed waveform.

Utilizing deep memory with Rigol DS1000 Oscilloscope.
Some Digital scopes offer the capability of capturing waveforms in Long Memory mode. Utilizing the long memory, Rigol scopes can capture complex signals in great detail over extended time periods. This allows an observer to examine high frequency effects within the captured waveform. Why can't I get a DSA battery and is there a workaround for portable use?
We are unable to import the Li-Ion batteries at this time. We recommend using a true sine wave inverter for portable use. See attached for performance data for a DSA800 while running on battery.
