DS1000E and D family don't timestamp bitmaps saved to USB
The DS1000E and D family of scopes do not have the ability to store the date and time. Any files written to the USB will not have an updated created on date/time in file explorers like Windows Explorer.

Typical data transfer speeds for 1 million points is between 5 and 6 seconds.

How do I retrieve data using USB control for the DS1000E/D series of scopes?
The DS1000E and D series of scopes can retrieve 600, 8k, 16k, 512k, or 1M data points, depending on the configuration of the scope. The attached FAQ documents the remote commands and their order.

How do I format the data returned from a DS1000E/D series scope?
This document shows how to format data returned via USB remote control. Data is returned as a unsigned byte array and must be mathematically converted to show the traditional voltage vs. time data. Please see attached.

What is the DS1000D family Logic Analyzer bandwidth or scan rate?
There is no quoted specification for the performance of the Logic Analyzer. At this time, we have experimentally seen significant degradation of digital signal capture at rates of 50MHz. We recommend keeping data rates at ~20MHz to ensure no signals are lost.

What is the longest time duration waveform that a DS1000E/D series scope can acquire?
The longest time division is 50s/division. Therefore, the scope will acquire 10 minutes of data (50s/division * 12 divisions = 600s / (60s/min) = 10 min

Can you set up any RIGOL scopes to stop triggering after a specific averaging number?
Not at this time. The average acquisition mode for the DS1000E/D, DS1000CA, DS1000B, DS4000, and DS6000 scopes are identical in function. They collect a boxcar average of the last acquisitions on a rolling basis.

When I plug in my instrument via USB, I get a Windows Page Fault error ( Blue Screen of Death / BSoD ).

Why does my DS series trigger rate slow down with failed waveforms in Pass/Fail mode?

What are the number of points captured by a DS1000E/D and replayed on a DG1022?
The attached FAQ describes how waveform files (WFM file extensions) are mapped to the DG1022 arbitrary waveform mode. 

Here are some setups and instructions to help analyze 60Hz line voltages.
The attached instructions and setup files will configure your oscilloscope to easily record and view up to 1000 frames of data as well as view the spectral content. The setups are designed for 60Hz line frequency with max voltage of 300V.

Why can't I get a DSA battery and is there a workaround for portable use?
We are unable to import the Li-Ion batteries at this time. We recommend using a true sine wave inverter for portable use. See attached for performance data for a DSA800 while running on battery.
